    The Philippine Embassy, London joins the nation in celebrating National Innovation Day (NID) 2025 on 28-30 April 2025 with the theme “FLIP” Forging Leaders of Innovation in the Philippines”. This year’s NID aims to (1) inspire the youth by engaging them in an intensified “Huddle, Analyse, Build, and Innovation” thinking workshop, (2) elevate public awareness on Filipino ingenuity and creativity through the holding of National and Regional Innovation Awards or the “Filipinnovation Awards”, and (3) honour Filipino innovators of “Filipinnovators” who have made significant contributions in promoting and advancing  innovative solutions in their respective fields.

Amb. and Mr. Ian Gibbons

Ambassador Locsin welcomed Mr. Ian Gibbons, Chief Executive of the UK-ASEAN Business Council (UKABC), to the Philippine Embassy yesterday. The two discussed ways in which to collaborate to support the Philippines-UK bilateral relationship, particularly through strengthening two-way trade and investment. The Ambassador invited British businesses to come to the Philippines and invest in one of the fastest growing economies in Asia.

Over 200 guests from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), UK civil service, London's diplomatic corps, UK business, academe and civil society, and Filipino community leaders gathered at the Great Hall of One Great George Street on 13 June 2022 for the celebration of the 126th Independence Day of the Philippines. Professor Deborah Sturdy CBE, UK’s Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care, was the special guest.

Ambassador Teodor L. Locsin, Jr. and Mme. Maria Lourdes Locsin led the wreath-laying ceremony at the bust of Dr. Rizal on 19 June 2024, as Sentro Rizal London paid tribute to Dr. Jose Rizal on his 163rd birth anniversary.

Ambassador Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr. joined the various Filipino religious and non-sectoral community organizations in their celebration of the 126th anniversary of Philippine Independence at Our Lady of Victories church in Kensington, organized by the Filipino Chaplaincy of London.
