Termporary Travel Ban on all Flights from Countries with Confirmed New COVID-19 Strain from 30 December 2020 to 15 January 2021
All foreign national passengers originating from the countries and territories listed below will not be allowed to enter the Philippines from 30 December 2020, 12:01 a.m. to 15 January 2021. This is a precautionary measure enforced by the Philippine Government to prevent the entry and spread of the new COVID19 strain, which has recently been detected. The following countries and territories include:
Travelers from any other country that subsequently reports the presence of the new COVID-19 strain shall likewise be banned from entering the Philippines.
For passengers already in transit or who had been in any of the countries listed above within 14 days from entry into the Philippines and who arrive before 30 December 2020 shall be allowed entry but shall be subjected to strict quarantine and testing protocols such as the mandatory 14 day quarantine in OWWA and DOT accredited facilities despite obtaining a negative RT-PCR result.
Filipino citizens returning home within the period of the temporary travel ban will be allowed entry subject to certain conditions such as a mandatory 14 day quarantine in OWWA and DOT accredited facilities despite obtaining a negative RT-PCR result. Other arrangements such as a home quarantine will not be permitted.
The public is therefore urged to postpone all non-essential journeys for the time being.
