The Philippine Embassy in London no longer authenticates or affixes red ribbons to documents issued by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs, and other Apostille-contracting countries if they already bear an Apostille certificate from these countries and if said documents are to be used in the Philippines.

An Apostille is an official government-issued certificate that authenticates the origin of a public document so they will be recognised as such when presented in another country.
