Statement on the Death of Former President Benigno S. Aquino III

24 June 2021 - The Department of Foreign Affairs joins the nation in mourning the passing of former President Benigno S. Aquino III.
During his term as the 15th President of the Philippine Republic, President Aquino elevated the country’s conduct of foreign relations, steered foreign policy towards a principled direction that earned international respect and esteem, and invigorated the foreign service with a collective sense of patriotism, commitment to service, and professionalism.
He has left a remarkable legacy on our country’s foreign policy and national history.
The Department offers its condolences to the former President’s family and friends, and joins the Filipino people in grieving the loss of a great man, leader and nationalist. END

Travel Advisory | SRRV-Holders are No Longer Required to Present an Entry Exemption Document to Enter the Philippines
The Philippine Embassy informs the public of the following updates on existing travel restrictions to the Philippines:
- Foreign nationals holding Special Resident Retiree's Visas (SRRV) are nallowed to enter the Philippines without need of an entry exemption document. SRRV-holders are advised to directly contact the This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. regarding all matters on enterting the Philippines.
- The issuance of all 9a single entry visas valid for three (3) months shall continue to require an entry exemption document from the Department.
