The Philippine Embassy strongly warns the public against a false and misleading article published on the website thethingsonline.com which features an interview with the Philippine Ambassador allegedly endorsing an investment scheme operated by a company called FortuixAgent. The interview was purportedly featured in a well-known publication.

The Embassy categorically states that no such interview ever took place. The Philippine Ambassador has never endorsed FortuixAgent or any other investment scheme, and does not and will not promote or recommend any private commercial venture.
 
The public is advised to exercise caution and to verify the authenticity of information before engaging in any financial transactions, especially those that appear to be associated with official government institutions or representatives.
 
The Philippine Embassy is taking appropriate steps to report this misrepresentation to relevant authorities and encourages individuals who may have been misled by the article to report the matter to the Philippines’ Securities and Exchange Commission's Enforcement and Investor Protection Department (EIDP) at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or to the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority’s (FCA).
