  • Advisory | Temporary Restriction of Entry of Foreign Nationals into the Philippines Extended until 30 April 2021

    Pursuant to the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-MEID) Resolution No. 103 s. 2021, the following revised guidelines shall take effect starting 0001H 22 March 2021 to 2359H 30 April 2021:

    • All Filipino citizens (OFWs and non-OFWs) shall be allowed entry into the Philippines
    • Only the following categories of foreign citizens may enter the Philippines, PROVIDED they are able to present a valid visa at the time of entry and other supporting documents indicated below:
     Category Requirement/s and Condition/s
    Diplomats and members of international organisations and their dependents
    • valid 9e visa or 47a2 visa
    Foreign nationals involved in medical repatriation

    Foreign national seafarers
    • valid 9c visa for crew change (Green Lanes Programme)
    Foreign national spouses and dependent children of Filipino nationals
    • valid 9a visa
    • Proof of relationship with the Filipino national (i.e. civil registry documents)
    • Must be travelling with the Filipino national spouse / parent
    Emergency, humanitarian, and other similar cases

    • Valid visa

    Existing guidelines for arriving crew member/s shall continue to be observed.

    The above guidelines is enforced without prejudiced to the exercise of the mandate of the Philippine Bureau of Immigraiton in relation to all arrival and departure formalities.

  • Philippine Arrival Protocols: A Guide for Inbound Passengers to the Philippines

    Before Your Trip:

     

    1. Check if you are exempted from existing travel restrictions by clicking this link
    2. Register through the following e-CIF links to receive a unique QR code you will need to present at the One Stop Sho (OSS) upon arrival in the Philippines:

    1. Pre-book at any Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) -accredited hotel for a stay of at least seven (7) days from your arrival and prepare Php 4,000 (approx GBP 61.00) for RT-PCR Testing and additional cash to cover transportation expenses.

     

    At the Airport:

     

    1. Submit a completed Health Declaration Form to the BOQ upon your arrival.
    2. Proceed to the OSS Briefing Area for a briefing by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) on quarantine protocols and for the distribution of the Affidavit of Undertaking.
    3. Proceed to the Department of Tourism (DOT) Desk to have your quarantine facility validated.
    4. Proceed to the Private Laboratory Desk to have your data processed and to pay for your RT-PCR Testing, which will be conducted at your designated quarantine facility.
    5. Proceed to the Bureau of Immigration for the standard entry clearances and passport checks.
    6. Collect your luggage from the Baggage Claim area.
    7. Submit your Affidavit of Undertaking to the PCG.
    8. Hire an airport taxi to proceed to our quarantine facility.

     

    While on Quarantine:

     

    1. While in quarantine, prepare the following documents:
      • Airline or bus ticket to onward destination;
      • Letter of Acceptance from the Local Government Unite (LGU) of your onward destination;
      • Travel Pass from any PNP Office at the point of departure.
    2. Submit to an RT-PCR Test on your 6th day in quarantine at your quarantine facility and wait to receive the results by email.
    3. Upon receipt of a negative test result, wait to receive a BOQ Health Certificate, which indicates the number of days spent in quarantine.
    4. Present your negative RT-PCR test result and your BOQ Health Certificate to the officer-in-charge upon check-out.

     

    Coordinating with the LGU:

     

    1. Upon clearance, avail of an authorised transportation to your final destination.  Your delay in reporting to your LGU can be grounds for the enforcement of an additional 14 days of quarantine.
    2. Report to your barangay officials upon arrival at your locality.  
    3. Complete your home quarantine and heed all instructions from your LGU.
    4. Upon completion of your quarantine at the LGU, continue to observe all health and safety protocols.
  • Travel Advisory | International Flights Bound for Cebu will be Diverted to Manila

    All international flights bound for Mactan-Cebu International Airport shall be diverted to the Ninoy Aquino International Airpot in Manila effective 0001H 29 May 2021 until 2359H 5 June 2021.

  • Travel Advisory | Relaxation of Travel Restrictions on Foreign Citizens Starting 1 May 2021

    Pursuant to IATF Resolution No. 113 s.2021, foreign nationals allowed under previous IATF resolutions shall be allowed to enter the Philippines starting 1 May 2021 subject to the following conditions:

    • With valid and existing visa at the time of entry, except for those qualified under Balikbayan Program under RA 6768;
    • With pre-booked accommodationg for at least seven (7) nights in an accredited quarantine hotel/facility;
    • Subject to COVID-19 testing at the quarantine hotel/facility on the sixth day from the date of arrival; and
    • Subject to the maximum capacity of inbound passengers at the port and date of entry.

    Travel restrictions imposed under IATF Resolution No. 112 s. 2021 shall continue to be in force.

    The following guidelines shall govern the entry of passengers into the Philippines:

    Allowed to enter the Philippines 
    • Filipino citizens with a valid Philippine passport
    • Filipino citizens who are dual citizens under Republic Act 9225, provided they are able to present an Identification Certificate as proof of recognition as a Filipino citizen or as proof that they have reacquired Philippine citizenship under RA 9225.
    • Foreign nationals allowed entry under the Balikbayan Program (RA 6768), provided they are nationals from non-visa required countries under EO 408:
      • Former Filipino citizens, together with their foreign national spouses and children, regardless of age, who are travelling with them;
      • Filipino citizens' spouses and children, regardless of age, who are travelling with them
    • Foreign nationals with valid and existing visas at the time of entry such as holders of valid and existing Special Resident and Retirees Visa (SRRV) or 9a Visas, provided they present, upon arrival, an entry exemption document issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs in Manila (the Philippine Embassy is not authorised to issue entry exemption documents);
      • Except for9e Visa holders who are covered by a different testing and quarantine protocols, the entry of all other foreign citizens shall be subject to the following conditions:
        • With pre-booked acommodation for at least seven (7) nights in an accredied quarantine hotel / facility; and 
        • Subject to COVID-19 testing at the quarantine hotel / facility on the sixth day from their date of arrival.

    The pre-booked accommodation for at least (7) nights in a quarantine hotel accredited by the Department of Tourism (DOT) shall be presented for initial check at the immigration counters.  Those who fail to present a pre-booked accommodation shall be denied entry and shall be boarded immediately on the next available flight.

    Foreign nationals who were cleared for entry but subsequently found to have presented a counterfeit or fraudulent pre-booked accommodation upon validation by the DOT, or those who will violate the testing and quarantine protocols of the Department of Health, shall be subject to deportation.

    Not allowed to travel to the Philippines The travel restriction imposed by IATF Resolution No. 112, s. 2021 for ALL travelers coming from India or those with travel history in India within the last fourteen (14) days preceding arrival in the Philippines.

  • Travel Advisory | SRRV-Holders are No Longer Required to Present an Entry Exemption Document to Enter the Philippines

    The Philippine Embassy informs the public of the following updates on existing travel restrictions to the Philippines:

    • Foreign nationals holding Special Resident Retiree's Visas (SRRV) are nallowed to enter the Philippines without need of an entry exemption document.  SRRV-holders are advised to directly contact the This email address is being protected from spambots.     • The issuance of all 9a single entry visas valid for three (3) months shall continue to require an entry exemption document from the Department.

  • Travel Advisory | Temporary Entry Restriction of Travelers from India to the Philippines from 29 April 2021 to 14 May 2021

    Pursuant to IATF Resolution 112 s. 2021, all travelers coming from India or those with travel history to India within the last fourteen (14) days preceding arrival shall be prohibited from entering the Philippines beginning 0001H of 29 April 2021 until 14 May 2021.

    Passengers already in transit from India and all those who have been to India within 14 days immediately preceding their arrival to the Philippines, who arrive before 0001H of 29 April 2021, shall be exempted from the above restriction but shall nevertheless be required to undergo stricter quarantine and testing protocols such as the observation of absolute facility-based 14-day quarantine period notwithstanding a negative Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) result.

  • Travel Advisory | Testing and Quarantine Protocols Starting 8 May 2021

    The following testing and quarantine protocols shall apply to all passengers arriving in the Philippine starting 0001H of 08 May 2021:

    • Mandatory 14-day quarantine
    • All international arrivals are required to undergo a facility or hotel quarantine for up to ten (10) days upon arrival
    • COVID-19 testing to be conducted on Day 7 (Day 1 is the arrival / check-in date)
    • International arrivals may continue their quarantine at home or in their hotels (as the case may be) from Day 11 up to Day 14, provided the result of the RT-PCR test is NEGATIVE
