Project PEARLS Founder Calls on Ambassador Locsin

Project PEARLS founder Miss Melissa Villa recently paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Locsin and shared their mission to break the cycle of poverty for the poorest children in the Philippines through education, empowerment, nutrition, and healthcare.

At the heart of Project PEARLS' advocacy work is their scholarship program with currently over 700 scholars from preschool to college. These scholars do not just receive education, but more importantly, they gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities they need to break free from the poverty trap. Graduates of its scholarship program are already beginning to reap the impact of their education thereby creating ripples through their families, communities, and country.

Project PEARLS also operates a soup kitchen called daily hunger relief program for the residents living near an old landfill. They were able to feed hundreds of people during the pandemic, and continue to do so.
