Ambassador Locsin Welcomes to The Embassy the First Filipino Ballerina to Graduate From a Prestigious UK Ballet School
Anya Nicole Alindada, the first Filipino Ballerina to graduate from the prestigious English National Ballet School (ENBS), recently called on Ambassador Locsin.
Anya graduated at ENBS in July 2023 and was chosen to be a part of the company’s production of “Giselle” last January.
Before her stint at ENBS, she participated in the Japan Grand Prix in August 2019. In February 2020, she was granted a scholarship for a full-time training program at the Melbourne Academy of the Arts for one and a half years. She won awards in select competitions and was chosen as a finalist in the Salieri Danza competition in Italy, earning her a spot in the final round of auditions for the ENBS.
Anya looks forward to more performances and bringing honor to the Philippines.

A delegation composed of senior officials from various Philippine government agencies and led by the Department of Finance paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Teodoro Locsin, Jr. at the Philippine Embassy in London. The delegation is in the UK to engage with the UK government on Financing and Delivering Sustainable Infrastructure Projects in support of the Marcos administration’s ambitious infrastructure plan for the Philippines.
