Ambassador Locsin Made His First Official Visit to Jersey

Ambassador Locsin made his first official visit to Jersey today where he met with key government officials, business representatives, and the Filipino community. He also took part in a memorial service to honor the lives of Filipino fishermen Jervis Baligat and Larry Simyunn, who lost their lives in the waters off Jersey’s coast in December 2022.

The Philippine Embassy in London shone the spotlight on the food stories and recipes of renowned Filipino chef- restaurateur, artist and writer Claude Tayag at the recent “Tales and Tastes Around the Filipino Table – An Afternoon with Chef Claude Tayag” at Kasa and Kin restaurant in London, United Kingdom.
An insightful talk by Chef Claude on Filipino food culture kicked off the afternoon, followed by the London launch of his book, ”The Ultimate Filipino Adobo – Stories + Recipes from the Heart.”
London PE Joins the Nation in Observing Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month 2024 (MANA Mo)
The Philippine Embassy in London joined the entire Filipino nation in the observation of September as Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA Mo) with a visit to the Royal Museums of Greenwich.
The visit included the National Maritime Museum, which contains the world’s largest maritime library and archive collection; the Cutty Sark, a British clipper ship built in 1869 and one of the fastest ships of its day; and the Royal Observatory which has a collection of John Harrison’s groundbreaking clocks that helped revolutionize the ability of ships to accurately determine their longitude.
