    The Philippine Embassy, London joins the nation in celebrating National Innovation Day (NID) 2025 on 28-30 April 2025 with the theme “FLIP” Forging Leaders of Innovation in the Philippines”. This year’s NID aims to (1) inspire the youth by engaging them in an intensified “Huddle, Analyse, Build, and Innovation” thinking workshop, (2) elevate public awareness on Filipino ingenuity and creativity through the holding of National and Regional Innovation Awards or the “Filipinnovation Awards”, and (3) honour Filipino innovators of “Filipinnovators” who have made significant contributions in promoting and advancing  innovative solutions in their respective fields.

The Philippine Embassy in the United Kingdom welcomed about 100 guests as it held a reception for Filipino students in the UK on 03 December 2021 at Sentro Rizal London.

The annual reception for students is the Embassy’s way of bringing together Filipino students in the UK and as an opportunity for them to meet and network with Embassy personnel and with one another.

In Ambassador Antonio M. Lagdameo’s welcome remarks, he looked back on the many milestones that  the Philippines marked in 2021 and expressed optimism for the Philippine economy’s recovery from the pandemic. He urged the students to keep in touch with the Embassy and looked forward to better circumstances in 2022 to allow the Embassy to meet Filipino students in the UK more often.

London-based Lahing Kayumanggi Dance Company provided entertainment, with their rendition of various Filipino folk dances.

The Philippine Embassy in the United Kingdom commemorated the martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal in simple ceremonies on 29 December 2021.

Together with the officers and staff of the Embassy, Chargé d’Affaires Rhenita B, Rodriguez led the floral offering by the bust of Dr. Rizal at Sentro Rizal London in honor of the memory of the Philippine National Hero.

Christmas is a time for giving. And just when you thought we're already done with our line up, we've decided to add not one, but two culminating performances interspersed within our upcoming docu-film that feature stories of our overseas kababayans.

Our #FiliXP Culminating events will be a mix of artists we've featured earlier: Lindon Mondigo , Yuki Sonoda , Mich Brijuega , Justine Afante, and Bebe's Wish Band , and one-night-only performances from Carlos Alberto Ibay , Diwa De Leon , Annie Nepomuceno , Dennis Sumaylo , Miguel Castro , Jed Marcelo , and Ria Faye Paderanga. They will be performing a rendition of Sa Pasko by the Akafellas, arranged by Glenn Aquias for FiliXP, and Tayo Tayo Pa Rin Sa Huli, written and composed by Norvin delos Santos and Alyanna Cabral for FiliXP, also arranged by Glenn Aquias.

Justine Afante is our very own The Voice Kids UK 2020 winner who wowed judges and audiences alike with her extraordinary singing voice.
