Ambassador Locsin led the Philippine Embassy’s celebration of Migrant Workers' Day 2023 on 04 June 2023, which was organized by the Migrant Workers Office and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (MWO-OWWA) London.
In his remarks, Ambassador Locsin hailed overseas Filipino workers, especially those in the UK and Ireland, as more than modern-day heroes but the saviors of our nation. He honored them for their resilience, courage and invaluable contributions not only to the economic development of their host countries but also to the well-being of fellow Filipinos.
The Ambassador likewise congratulated the hundreds of graduates of London PE MWO-OWWA’s Skills Enhancement Training Program for OFWs.
