The Embassy’s Public Diplomacy Section responds to enquiries and interview requests from journalists related to Philippine foreign policy, and coordinates press briefings and media events.

For journalists / filmmakers who wish to visit the Philippines to cover a story:
Journalists, media crew and production teams include groups who will cover the Philippines through any medium such as film, video, or digital media for purposes of news reporting, documentary, filmmaking or other forms of media production.
Journalists and individual members of a production crew who wish to report on the Philippines must visit the nearest Philippine Embassy at their port of origin to apply for the appropriate visa.
Upon arrival in the Philippines, they must proceed to the International Press Center (IPC) to undergo the process of accreditation. If the production crew has a local coordinator, he / she may coordinate with the IPC in advance.
Philippine Visa Requirements:
- Completed visa application form. Download the form here.
- ePassport with at least six months validity before the date of departure to the Philippines.
- Photocopy of the applicant's passport data page
- 1 pc, coloured passport-size photograph (white background), taken within the last six months
- Endorsement letter from the news agency or production company represented
- Applicable visa fees (see section on Visa Fees)
Philippine International Press Center Accreditation Requirements:
1. Letter stating their intention to film a documentary or report on the country and requesting accreditation of the film / media crew. The letter must be addressed to:

2. Attachments:
- List of equipment (if applicable)
- List of production crew members and their roles / designation (if applicable)
- Itinerary and flight details of the journalist / film crew
- Brief background on the story / film / documentary
- Three (3) pieces, passport-size colour photograph (white background) of each member of the crew
- Photocopy of the data page of the valid passport of the journalist / each member of the crew
- Completed IPC accreditation form, for the journalist / each member of the crew
- Completed Bio-data/General Application form (Bureau of Immigration form), for the journalist / each member of the film crew
(This is for the Special Work Permit which has to be applied for with the Bureau of Immigration. Fee is Php 6,440 plus Php60 for notarization of their application. IPC may assist the crew if there is no local coordinator)
