    The Philippine Embassy, London joins the nation in celebrating National Innovation Day (NID) 2025 on 28-30 April 2025 with the theme “FLIP” Forging Leaders of Innovation in the Philippines”. This year’s NID aims to (1) inspire the youth by engaging them in an intensified “Huddle, Analyse, Build, and Innovation” thinking workshop, (2) elevate public awareness on Filipino ingenuity and creativity through the holding of National and Regional Innovation Awards or the “Filipinnovation Awards”, and (3) honour Filipino innovators of “Filipinnovators” who have made significant contributions in promoting and advancing  innovative solutions in their respective fields.

 More than 40 Filipino nurses who came from all over the UK attended the Philippine Embassy in London's special tribute for Filipino nurses in the childhood home of Florence Nightingale in Derby, England.

In his remarks, Ambassador Teodoro L. Locsin, Jr.  said he cannot think of a better place to recognize and celebrate the contributions of Filipino nurses than the place where the legacy of nursing excellence was born. He recalled that when he presented his credentials as PH Ambassador to the UK, King Charles III conveyed the deepest gratitude of the United Kingdom for Filipino nurses, who carried the nation through the most trying times during the pandemic.

Filipino actress and singer Rachel Alejandro, in the UK for her concert tour, paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Locsin at the Embassy today. She was accompanied by her manager Girlie Rodis.

Newly Crowned Miss Universe Great Britain 2024, Christina Dela Cruz Chalk, called on Ambassador Locsin today. Raised in Scotland by a Filipino mother, Christina will represent Great Britain at the 73rd Miss Universe pageant in Mexico in November.

The Philippine Embassy advises the public that the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has identified a number of registered overseas voters who have incomplete biometric information.

In compliance with the implementation of the online voting for overseas voters on the 2025 National and Local elections, it is compulsory for every registered overseas voter to ensure that their biometric records are complete and up-to-date.

The list of registered overseas voters with incomplete/or without biometrics information can be found at the COMELEC official website through the following links:

Overseas voters whose names are on the list are requested to have their biometrics recaptured on or before the end of the voter registration (30th September 2024) at the Philippine Embassy in London, 6-11 Suffolk Street, SW1Y 4HG from Monday-Friday, 9:30am to 4:30pm respectively. Please bring along your valid Philippine passport.
