    The Philippine Embassy, London joins the nation in celebrating National Innovation Day (NID) 2025 on 28-30 April 2025 with the theme “FLIP” Forging Leaders of Innovation in the Philippines”. This year’s NID aims to (1) inspire the youth by engaging them in an intensified “Huddle, Analyse, Build, and Innovation” thinking workshop, (2) elevate public awareness on Filipino ingenuity and creativity through the holding of National and Regional Innovation Awards or the “Filipinnovation Awards”, and (3) honour Filipino innovators of “Filipinnovators” who have made significant contributions in promoting and advancing  innovative solutions in their respective fields.

 As part of its consular outreach mission in Dublin, Ireland, on 27-29 October 2023, the Philippine Embassy conducted an information session for the Filipino community, with representatives from the Embassy, MWO-OWWA, DOT and SSS providing updates on their respective programs.

LONDON – In celebration of Museums and Galleries Month 2023, the Philippine Embassy in London launched the art exhibit “Dancing with Glory” at Sentro Rizal London on 18 October 2023.

The exhibit, in collaboration with Singapore-based One East Asia Gallery, featured the works of eleven (11) Filipino artists, namely, Abi Dionisio, Demi Padua, Ezekiel Fajardo, Isko Andrade, Jayson Cortez, Reyna Raymunda, Welbart Slowhands, and the Alarcon Brothers (Ejem, Aldrine, Didier and Luke).

Parliament

Ambassador Locsin joined a delegation from the Philippine Senate headed by Senate President Juan Miguel Zubiri, joined by Senator Grace Poe and Senator Christopher Lawrence Go, for meetings at Parliament this month. The Senate delegation met with British parliamentarians for inter-parliamentary dialogue and discussions to further strengthen Philippines-UK bilateral ties.
