23 July 2018 LONDON—The Philippine Overseas Labor Office – Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (POLO-OWWA), Social Security System (SSS), and Pag-IBIG brought its services closer to the Filipinos in Kilburn on 22 July 2018. The outreach mission was in cooperation with FilChamp, a Filipino community organization in the United Kingdom (UK).
During the outreach mission, the Embassy’s partner agencies conducted briefings and orientations about their respective services before facilitating membership registrations and answering a range of queries related to their programmes and initiatives.
“The Philippine Embassy is working hard to make our services more accessible to Filipinos in the United Kingdom,” said Ambassador Antonio Manuel Lagdameo. “Through our outreach missions, we are bringing these services closer to our kababayans.”
Those who attended the outreach mission were interested to know more about the agencies’ various programmes and initiatives which they may avail of, as well as investment and savings opportunities they can take advantage of. END
