30 April 2016, London – The Department of Tourism (DoT), London went full steam with its “Station Domination Project” with the showing on a wide high definition screen of the video and the display of giant posters of “Visit the Philippines Again 2016” and “It’s more fun in the Philippines” in the Waterloo Train Station in London.

The video on tourist destinations in the Philippines was shown at intervals on the high definition video screen, the longest indoor video screen in Europe. DoT advertisements on tourist destinations in Bohol, Cebu, Palawan and Banawe were shown on 10 wide high definition screens installed at key points in the Waterloo Station. “Visit the Philippines Again 2016” advertisements printed on giant tarpaulin posters and banners were also displayed prominently at the passenger and ticketing waiting areas including the pathways and train boarding platforms.
The video, posters and banners will surely be seen by all those who come to the Waterloo Station, which receives some 280,000 passengers a day or 8.4 million passengers a month for trains to all destinations in the United Kingdom, Paris via the Euro Star fast train, and bus and taxi services in London.
The DoT promotion in the Waterloo Station included the experiential booth where visitors could view with face monitors a 3-D showing of tourism and diving destinations in the Philippines.
The “Station Domination Project” in the Waterloo Station was launched on 24 April 2016 coinciding with the world famous London Marathon. The video screening and display of the huge tourism posters will continue until 23 May 2016. The experiential booth will close on 30 April 2016.
The DoT, London launched the “Station Domination Project” with the support of its travel industry partners, namely, the Philippine Airlines, which provided tickets for winners of a tourism competition, and travel agencies Secret Escape, Hayes and Jarvis, NetFlight, Explore and Dive World Wide that promoted tourist destinations in the Philippines in their respective websites, Facebook and Tweeter accounts.
