"Leonor Will Never Die" premiered last year at the World Cinema Dramatic Competition of the Sundance Film Festival, where Ms Escobar was awarded the Special Jury Prize for Innovative Spirit. The film has also won the Amplify Voices Award at the 2022 Toronto International Film Festival and has been nominated for Best International Film at the recent 38th Independent Spirit Awards.
