Isle of Man, 30 September – A delegation from the Philippine Embassy in London, led by Chargé d’ Affaires, a.i. Ms. Rhenita B. Rodriguez, visited the Isle of Man from 30 September to 01 October 2022 to meet with local government officials and to conduct a consular outreach mission for the Filipino community residing on the island.
The delegation was composed of representatives from the Philippine Embassy, including the Philippine Trade and Investment Centre (PTIC), the Philippine Overseas Labour Office (POLO) and the Philippine Department of Tourism (PDOT). During the visit, they met with several Isle of Man officials including the Chief Minister Hon. Alfred Cannan MHK, Minister for Enterprise Hon. Lawrie Hooper MHK, Minister for Health and Social Care Hon. Rob Callister MHK, and the Head of Isle of Man Borders Ms. Annie Taylor.
The two sides had fruitful and productive meetings which covered a range of topics of mutual interest and priorities, including immigration, labour, investments, healthcare, and the concerns of the Filipino Community on the island. END
