Executive Director Rosvi Gaetos of the Philippine Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM), an attached agency to the Philippine Department of Trade & Industry, was recently in London from 23 to 25 October 2014 for a three-day working visit to meet with executives and officials of the British Fashion Council; the London College of Fashion of the University of Arts London; Harrods, the luxury department store; and the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour.
Ms. Gaetos also called on Philippine Ambassador to the Court of St. James’s H.E. Enrique A. Manalo and thanked him for the Philippine Embassy’s support to the projects of DTI-CITEM. Ms. Gaetos also briefed the Ambassador on DTI-CITEM’s initiatives, plans and programs with London based organisations and institutions in coordination with the Philippine Trade & Investment Centre in London (PTIC-London).
Ms. Gaetos visited the UK to explore possible collaborations with institutions to further develop the talent and capabilities of our young PHL designers that will be part of CITEM’s Red Box Young Designer Development Program; to discuss the Philippine participation to the 2015 International Fashion Showcase; and to invite UK buyers to visit Manila FAME, the Design & Lifestyle Event on February and October 2015to see world-class Philippine products that can be sourced by the UK from the Philippines.
