 UPDATES ON THIS SERVICE

  • Due to physical distancing measures being implemented, this service is strictly BY APPOINTMENT ONLY.  
  • Applicants must bring with them a copy of the confirmed appointment (printed or digital) during their visit to the Philippine Embassy.
  • Only those with confirmed appointments will be allowed inside the Embassy premises, in accordance with physical distancing measures.
  • For health and safety reasons, we only accept payments via card or contactless. Cash payments will not be accepted.
  • Collection of documents will only be done by post due to physical distancing measures being implemented.  All applicants must submit a self-addressed, stamped, special delivery envelope with tracking number together with their documentary requirements.
  • Documents that have already been notarised by a UK or Irish noraty public and apostilled by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) or the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs no longer need to be posted to the Philippine Embassy for processing as these are already recognised in the Philippines.
  • Processing time is at least three (3) working days, excluding transmittal.

For legal documents (e.g. affidavits, Special Power of Attorney, Contracts, etc.) executed outside the Philippines to have legal force and effect in the Philippines, these documents require consularisation by the Philippine Embassy / Consulate.

The Embassy acknowledges a legal document that is signed by the executor in the presence of a consular official. The document is issued with a seal of the Embassy.

The Embassy notarizes affidavits signed by affiants in the presence of a consular official. The jurat or notarial attestation is stamped on the document itself.

Processing time: Three (3) working days, excluding transmittal

Processing fee: GBP 23.00 per document

Requirements

  • A confirmed appointment
  • Personal appearance of the person executing the legal document
  • Accomplished pre-printed standard forms or use the forms sent to you from the Philippines

  • Original document/s, number/copies will depend on what the applicant requires
  • Original and photocopy/ies of the executor/s valid identification document (valid passport or driver’s licence), in the same number of the document/s to be acknowledged.
  • One (1) photocopy of the complete set of the document/s, including a photocopy of the identification document/s, to be retained for the Embassy's records.
  • 1 self-addressed, stamped, special delivery envelope with tracking number (for document collection).  Click to view a sample.
  • Processing fee of GBP 23.00 per document (no fee is charged for the Embassy’s copy)
    • Payable only by card or contactless.

Steps

1. Book an appointment here.

2. Prepare a complete set of the requirements.

3. Visit the Philippine Embassy during your confirmed appointment date and submit a complete set of documents and requirements.

4. Pay the processing fee at the cashier (we only accept payments via card or contactless).

5. Wait for your documents to be posted back to you.

Important Reminders

  • A confirmed appointment is required for all applicants.  A copy of this confirmation must be presented upon arrival at the Embassy.
  • The personal appearance of the executor/s is required.
  • Documents that have already been notarised by a UK or Irish noraty public and apostilled by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) or the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs no longer need to be posted to the Philippine Embassy for processing as these are already recognised in the Philippines.
  • One set of documents, including the identification documents, will be retained for the Embassy's records.  
  • Applicants must provide a stamped, special delivery envelope so that the processed document/s can be sent to them by post.  This can be obtained from the nearest post office.
