The Philippine Embassy joins PIDS (Philippine Institute for Development Studies) in the 12th annual DPRM (Development Policy Research Month) this September 2014.

The theme of this year’s DPRM is “Addressing the Jobs Challenge Towards Inclusive Growth.” The event will underline important market issues such as importance of increasing job opportunities to combat high rates of unemployment and underemployment in the Philippines as well as to reduce poverty.

The month-long event will evaluate the current state of the Philippines’ labour market regulations and will discuss the importance of policy research in the creation of national development plans, programs and policies in hopes of creating a higher number of quality jobs for the Philippine work force.

The Philippine Embassy and PIDS encourage Filipino researchers in the UK to share their self-authored papers on research on development policies for online publication on the Philippine Embassy website.
