The officers and staff of the Embassy of the Philippines in London shares the sense of loss felt by the Philippine Foreign Service on the untimely passing on 2 April 2020 of Ambassador Bernardita Catalla, Philippine Ambassador to Lebanon, from complications arising from Covid 19.
We grieve with all her family, friends and colleagues who mourn the loss of a warm and friendly person, a caring and helpful individual, and a dedicated and effective diplomat to this unseen enemy.
We are consoled by the knowledge that Ambassador Catalla’s long and distinguished foreign service career, which saw her delivering frontline services to Filipinos both at home and abroad, has touched the lives of so many and advanced the national interest in a significant way.
May she rest in peace
