Ambassador Antonio M. Lagdameo and Mme. Linda F. Lagdameo with accomplished Filipina pianist Inna Montesclaros

 

London, 26 October 2019 – Philippine Ambassador to the United Kingdom H.E. Antonio M. Lagdameo and Mme. Linda Floirendo Lagdameo were on hand to witness how the highly talented Filipina pianist Inna Montesclaros captivated her audience during the concert “Ligaya: Joy Through Music” held on Saturday, 26 October 2019, at Ashwell House in London. Ms. Montesclaros was accompanied by the Kaibigan Chamber Orchestra comprised of friends and musicians both from abroad and from four conservatories in London, namely, the Royal Academy of Music, the Royal College of Music, the Trinity College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music. The Kaibigan Chamber Orchestra was conducted by Ms. Jane Lau.

Ms. Montesclaros and the Kaibigan Chamber Orchestra performed two pieces at the concert – Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture Opus 26 and Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 in C Minor. Proceeds from the concert were donated to Baytree Centre, a social inclusion charity for women and girls based in Brixton, South London.

Born in Manila, Ms. Montesclaros was educated at the University of Sto. Tomas Conservatory of Music under the tutelage of Dr. Raul Sunico and was a scholar at the Royal Academy of Music and the Royal College of Music in London under the supervision of Ian Jones and Ian Fountaine. END
