The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) wishes to remind all concerned to conduct the necessary due diligence before enrolling and engaging with any degree granting higher education institutions (HEIs), both local and foreign, to ensure the recognition by the CHED of qualifications to be awarded by said institutions.

The public is hereby advised to first verify the status of international HEIs and their accredited/recognized programs, whether in a physical campus or through distance education, with the CHED International Affairs Service, pursuant to its mandate as the clearing house of information on the Philippine higher education system, comparability of higher education programs, degrees and diplomas obtained from other countries.
