- The temporary suspension of visa issuance is effective immediately while the temporary suspension of visa-free privileges will take effect on 22 March 2020. Foreign spouses and children of Filipino nationals are exempted from this temporary suspension;
- The travel restriction has no impact on foreign crew members; and foreign nationals who are already in the country or holders of visas issued by other government agencies;
- Foreign nationals with visas previously issued by any Philippine Foreign Service Post such as the Philippine Embassy in London will not be allowed entry into the country starting 22 March 2020;
- The visas previously issued to accredited Foreign Government and International Organization officials and their dependents will remain valid and will be honored when entering the country even after the said date. The same is true for previously issued visas to foreign spouses and children of Filipino nationals.
The public is informed that the Bureau of Immigration (BI) will not allow entry starting 22 March 2020 to holders of visas that are BI-issued or BI-regulated, and to visa-free nationals, pursuant to DOJ-BI issuances.
