    • If the Birth Certificate was registered less than ten (10) years ago, bring any of the following:
      • IDs issued before the birth certificate’s date of registration

Married Women

  • For married women with no other special circumstances:
    • Original PSA-issued Marriage Certificate (if married in the Philippines) or PSA-issued Report of Marriage (if married in the UK or overseas). (To request for a copy, click this link)
      • If married in the UK:
        • Original and a photocopy of the Report of Marriage (ROM) issued less than a year by the Philippine Embassy / Consulate where the marriage took place. If ROM is more than one (1) year old, bring the original and photocopy of the PSA-issued Report of Marriage.
        • If married in the Philippines:
          • Original and a photocopy of the Marriage Contract duly authenticated by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
  • For a married woman using her husband’s surname but is now a widow or has had her marriage dissolved through a court process:
    • PSA-issued Marriage Certificate or Report of Marriage (ROM) in all cases plus any of the following documents, whichever is applicable:
      • For widowed applicants
        • Original and photocopy of the PSA-issued death certificate of the husband; or
        • PSA-issued marriage certificate with an annotation on the court decree on presumptive death
        • For annulled marriages
          • Original and photocopy of the annotated PSA-issued Marriage Contract reflecting the annulment decision.
          • For divorced applicants
            • Original and photocopy of the annotated Marriage Certificate indicating that the divorce has already been recognized by a Philippine court.

    • If the minor is an illegitimate child, personal appearance of the mother is required.

Philippine passport holders whose passports are expiring within one (1) year or less may apply for a passport validity extension.  This service only applies to valid passports.

Length of extension:

  • One (1) year from the date the Philippine Embassy receives the applicant’s complete set of documents for passport validity extension.

Processing time during the pandemic:

  • Seven (7) working days from the date the Philippine Embassy receives the applicant’s complete set of documents.

PASSPORT VALIDITY RE-EXTENSION

 

Expiring passports that have already been previously extended may now be re-extended for one (1) more year from the date the application is received by the Philippine Embassy.  

 

Guidelines:

  • Only the Philippine Embassy in London is authorised to re-extend the validity of passports. Please follow the instructions below to send Passport re-extension applications to the Philippine Embassy in the United Kingdom; they cannot be sent through the Philippine Consulate in Dublin, Ireland.
  • The Philippine Embassy may only re-extend the validity of passports that have not yet expired by the time the application is received.
  • All applications will undergo a thorough process of evaluation.  Submission of an application does not guarantee immediate approval.
  • You may be required to present additional documentary requirements depending on the nature of your request (e.g. emergency travel or necessity to possess a valid passport).
